ALPHABET MINI BOOK

A boardgame for practising spelling. I use it with my A2 students. They work in pairs or groups of three. They take it in turns to roll the dice. They need to think of a word (consisting of at least 4 characters)  which starts with the letter they land on. Then they spell the  word.

Students read and colour the alphabet. It's useful during the lessons about spelling, I hope you like it!

Vocabulary activity. What is the first letter of each picture? Look.Trace a line from the  picture to its first letter. Color after all! Have fun!!!

I did an extra activity from this one two (to older ones), I asked them to write in a different place the names (spelling). It was great!!

This is great to all level, because English learners can always practice the pronunciation of the letters. (Spelling names, or spelling on the phone ect.)

Students practice pronouncing the letters and they categorize them by sound. The advanced version of this is then to play a game of "Scategories" with confusing letters such as W and V for German-English speakers.

This is a nice poem with the letters of the alphabet for pupils.

It can be a coloring, as well.

Alphabet Chant

Simple worksheet dealing with the meaning of before and after, with an exercise using letters of the alphabet. Students need to be aware of word order when doing this exercise to get the correct answers.

A warmer for students on random vocabulary that they learn at intermediate level. Getting vocabulary words for specific things starting with each letter of the alphabet. I do this as a race with my teenagers and they love it!!

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
