This is an activity that I planned for the students of 4º ESO about idioms related to body parts, to enlarge a short exercise that is in their text books. The activity focuses in the use of idiomatic  everyday expressions that are used with parts of our body. Also, we can make students aware of the words we use in our native language, comparing and translating.

IDIOMS WITH BODY PARTS

Use this material to help your student memorize the most common words related to "Parts of the Body". Print these 2 pages and cut the squares up. Then spread them on a table with the images and words facing down. To play each player will have to pair the image with the corresponded word. The player with most number of pairs wins! Vocabulary: mouth, chest, neck, face, ankle, foot / feet, eye, back, arm, tummy/stomach, shoulder, ear, hair, elbow, nose, leg, knee, toe nails, tongue, hand, toes, fingers, teeth, wrist.

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets
