This activity is aimed to enlarge students’ vocabulary and to improve their ability to implement this vocabulary in speech, through picture descriptions and making a story. According to Nakatani (2010), picture description engages students to memorize vocabulary in long-term memory. Moreover, describing pictures facilitates learners’ fluency because visual items help learners to produce speech using their background knowledge.
