Even though it is an authentic vid I have found that students (even at a level as low as pre-intermediate) have no problems with understanding and it makes them so proud.....

Charity Donations

A short list of money idioms, with definitions, which can be used for a matching activity in groups. I print it on colored paper depending on how many groups I have and then cut it into strips. The students work together matching the idiom with the definition.

This is a lesson for advanced students.  Students work in pairs to read the sentences around the room to determine the definition of the words in bold.  Then they work together to answer the follow up question.  Great lesson to add to any unit on money or wealth.

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well
