Presentation - What's your name, how old are you?

"Used to" practice. A grandfather, who moved to a city after living in the countryside for many years, tells about his past habits to his grandchild. There are pictures as hints and sentences to be completed in accordance with the pictures. Hope it can be useful for you, dear collegues!

This is a worksheet dealing with lesson 3 ; the generation gap. The aim of the pre reading is to explain the words " generation " and " gap".

The comprehension questions are meant to make students know the problem of the main character, Jane, and express their opinions towards the situation. The grammar focus is then turned to different types of compound adjectives.

Give your students time to work through the vocabulary. Encourage pair work and help with difficult words. Students can use a dictionary to find the meaning of some of the difficult words in the tables and this can prepare them for the final task. Once the students have studied the tables, they should work in pairs and describe the photo.
