Students are expected to apply the rules for using different future tenses. After reading the rules about the correct usage they are asked to fill in the gaps of the worksheet with WILL or BE GOING TO. The two forms that are most often used in English are WILL and BE GOING TO and students have to learn in which situations these two tenses are used. Particularly the form BE GOING TO has special difficulties. The students have to learn that the Simple Present, which is commonly used cannot be used in these situations.
