Introduction
Look at the illustration and familiarize yourself with the members of the Taylor family. They are a typical family who live in England. John and Sue are the parents of Emily and Peter. They live with their dog Barney. In this illustration you are introduced to grandma and grandpa.

Task 1: Can you describe what you see in each picture?

Task 2: Using the present continuous, can you talk about the present activities that the 
             members of the family are doing today.

Task 3: If you have a partner you can make questions in the present continuous, for example,
             A: 'Is John driving his car?'      B: Yes, he is. / No, he isn't.
             A: What is John doing today? B: He is mowing the lawn / cutting the grass / gardening. 

There are lots of different verbs you can use.
