These exercises follow on from the coloured diagram of the past perfect formula. 
 They include a recognition exercise, and some drilling exercises for homework. Boring, I know but they have to be done so that Ss don’t confuse the different tenses. 
 I ensure they know the tense names so that when I get to the passive, I don’t have to re-teach the present perfect and the past perfect. They already know the formulas.
