I use it for the the pre-intermediate individual class. I cut all the pieces out, the person drags out one subject (the first column), one predicate and an object (the 2nd column), and one time expression (the 3rd column). The student has to make the correct sentence out of its parts. This exercise allows to see if the student actually understands the difference between these two tenses (Present Simple/Progressive) and how they are formed.
