First Conditional

These exercises are separated by type to enable students to practice the different conditionals. This will help them to recognise the differences between each type.

1st, 2nd and 3rd conditionals

This activity has 3 different scenarios and is meant to be used as practice after a grammar lesson on the language of negotiation (conditionals, modals, etc..).  It is best done in groups of three and is perfect for small group Business English practice.  The same student should be A, B, or C throughout the scenarios to give each student a chance to be in the hot seat!

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
