It was made for my Level 1 ESOL students in order for them to practise using the past tense to describe someone's life. It was also aimed at helping them to write magazine articles, which is a skill needed for their writing exams.

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets
