Hope it's useful. This is a 3 page exercise with many different ways to test the students' knowledge of past tense with regular and irregular verbs. There are many illustrations.

They read the story about a strange thing happening at the office. They have to put the verbs in brackets into the past simple tense and then complete the T/F exercise and answer the questions.
