I really think  grammar is very important and that students have to write correctly since the beginning and also they have to know how to pronounce well, so I have created a set of worksheets about grammar rules with some exercises to practise them. This is number 1.

It's a reading comprehension about a missing mobile phone. They answer the questions and look at the structure of the text. I have included a key for the match up.

Here are some reading comprehensions and exercises to practise the past simple tense: there's gap fill, correct the errors, unscramble the words, write up the paragraph from a series of pictures. Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets
