The aim of the exercise is to practice Second Conditional. 

Task - fill in the blanks in the lyrics of the song. 

Tip - use the song after introducing and practicing the second conditional as a form of revision / fun practice. 

You can also talk about typical American / Canadian things mentioned in the song, eg. K-car (cars popular in the 1980s), Kraft dinner (macaroni and cheese).
