Using the song You Were Always On My Mind by Elvis Presley, students indentify the correct verb forms in a gap fill exercise. Includes hints in brackets. Be sure to check out the link marked "Just for fun" :) There is a newer version sung by The Pet Shop Boys.

The above downloadable teaching material is a great resource for high school and adults at Intermediate (B1) and Upper-intermediate (B2) level. It is great for consolidating Adjectives to describe feelings / mood / tone, Adjectives: Opposites, Adverbs of frequency, BE (auxiliary verb), BE: WAS or WERE, Future simple tense expressed with WILL, Modals, Present perfect or past simple tense and Verb tenses in English, and can be used for honing your learners' Listening skills. It centers around the vocabulary topic of Feelings, emotions and Love, romance, dating. The key is provided, too.
