A short discussion activity where students work in groups to see if they can identify quotes by Greta Thunberg. This is a nice, simple way to extend any lesson that has a focus on climate change, the environment or renewable energy. Possible grammar usage would be conditionals, present tense, past tense and modals. Once the discussion activity is completed, a possible follow-up could be a video of any of Greta Thunberg's speeches.

The above downloadable printable is intended for at Upper-intermediate (B2) and Advanced (C1) level. It is great for teaching Conditionals, Future tenses, Modals, Present simple tense and Past simple tense in English, and is useful for strengthening your groups' Speaking skills. It features the topic and words of Environment, Celebrities (stars, famous people) and Future.

Hi there. I've been teaching English in Nagoya, Japan for over 10 years now, but before that I taught in Australia, India and South Korea. My teaching materials are constantly evolving but I'm currently focusing on one-page worksheets that provide a solid all-round conversational workout.
