This is a set of writing worksheets. The focus is functional writing: Advice columns. The first worksheet provides an example of a scenario-based response, in which different sections of an advice column response is labelled. The second sheet is a scenario and the third sheet is the response form. This activity can be used as a purely writing task, or it can be used to check student's skill in using modals.

The above downloadable teaching material is intended for at Intermediate (B1) level. It is aimed at teaching Modals in English, and was designed for working on your learners' Writing skills. It is focused on the theme of Age, Debate, Culture, intercultural communication, cross-cultural communication, Smart phones, tablets and gadgets and Socializing, small talk.
