A useful reference guide for students when studying cardinal vs ordinal numbers. My version is for Japanese students, but you can edit it to match your students' native language.

I find this sheet useful because my students often forget that English has different words for ordinal numbers. My students always default to the cardinal numbers.

This version includes IPA for students and teachers who find that useful.

The present downloadable handout is best suited for at Elementary (A1) level. It is great for teaching Numbers: Ordinal numbers and Numbers: Cardinal numbers in English, and is excellent for honing your class' Reading skills. It focuses on the topic and words of Numbers.

I'm a JET ALT in Japan teaching high school students of low to intermediate level. I really want to help my students learn the basics of English and learn how to appreciate and enjoy English. I've made a lot of games and miscellaneous lesson plans in my time, and I think I will be changing jobs in the near future, so I wanted to pass along all of my work, just in case it's useful to other people. Enjoy & Good Luck!
