I am now preparing work for my mainstream English classes. I hope this exercise will be useful for some of you. They have to imagine that they are in the photos, that they actually did the activities, so write in the past tense. Alternatively, they could just describe the pictures, in the present tense. I tell my students, you don't need to know the actual locations, for example, the mountains there are the Himalayas, but just saying 'mountains' is fine. Except for Machu Picchu!

The above downloadable teaching material is best suited for at Upper-intermediate (B2) level. It is aimed at consolidating Past simple tense in English, and is excellent for improving your students' Writing skills. It is focused on the topic and words of Tourism.
