This lesson plan practices 'used to...' together with simple present and simple past tenses. In the model conversation students listen and repeat questions, responses and natural follow-up questions which introduce 'used to'. Students can be drilled in the practice sections before completing two exercises - one a gap-fill (using 'used to' with frequency adverbs) and the other a matching exercise. The listening section is a conversation between two friends talking about their school days. This lesson is a good way to review 'used to' or to introduce it to students for the first time. Enjoy!

The above downloadable teaching material is a great resource for business/professional, high school and adults at Beginner (pre-A1), Elementary (A1), Pre-intermediate (A2) and Intermediate (B1) level. It is great for teaching Past tense: USED TO in English, and is useful for improving your class' Listening, Speaking and Reading skills. It is focused on the vocabulary topic of Actions.
