The website links also go into more detail about English collocations, such as how to form them, different types of collocations (Adverb + Verb, Adjective + Noun, etc.)

The given worksheet can help students practise and remember how to read words with R-controlled syllables. There is a table with rules and some exercises.

Worksheet for use with unit 8 of our discovery island 3. There are two pages for this document. The teacher will say "number 1" and perform an action shown on the page. The students should ask a question from the unit (Is he verbing? Is she verbing? Are you verbing? Are you verbing adverb?)

They must also call out the answer and write it down.



On page 2 they must ask one of five questions (What are you/we/they doing? What is he/she doing?)

The teacher will perform an action and again the students must call out an answer.

My worksheet is a review. It has modal verbs can't/ can showing ability. The reading is about a letter and the vocabulary is clothing and opposite adjectives. Enjoying.

Exercises to practise there is/are in different forms, answer the questions using short answers for have got and write simple sentences using can. Doing these exercises students show their understanding of the language and use the structures at the same time. Structures are basic but they have to start from somewhere. I hope it helps :)
