Students often find prefixes quite daunting and sifting through prefix tables can be a tad toilsome. This Word document on lifestyles, serves to break down some of those fears, whilst presenting them in an engaging way. There is a PowerPoint presentation on this too. It is aimed at intermediate and higher level students, who have had exposure to prefixes but need more practise with the language.



Furthermore, it highlights some basic concepts of the target language in a controlled way, whilst giving students ample speaking practise.



This is a bottom-up approach, whereby students can focus on some simple rules before communicating. They have a chance to provide answers through elicitation before one or two engaging lead-in questions.
