Why Over What (WOW) is a reading module designed according to SOLO Taxonomy ( A model of understanding levels) that focuses on four reading strategies: predicting, inferring, making connections and questioning. There are 6 phases of the module and there are two pretest and post-test. This is also available in ESL Printables. 

Why Over What (WOW) Reading Module Phase 1

This worksheet aims to develop students' information literacy through the use of three thinking tools: KWL, Q-Matrix and Six Thinking Hats. They  learn to search, interpret, analyze and question information and they have the autonomy to decide on their own topics and articles. This activity  can be done either through library research or Web Quest activities. This was developed by Sirhajwan Idek

Information Literacy Tools (KWL, Q-Matrix, Six Thinking Hats)

This worksheet is to work with the simple past of some regular and irregular verbs. The activity is developed through a song of the musical group puddle of mudd. Students have to complete the song with the past of the verbs. It is divided in different steps: write the past, complete the song, order a part of the lyrics and finally, ask some questions to a classmate. There isn't a solution, because the song is pretty clear and easy to complete. You have to explain the students what's the activity about, the stepts and finally check with them the corrects answer. At the end, they have to report about their classmates answers or talk about what they remember about the questions they are going to ask to a classmate.
