This worksheet is designed for students who want to start practicing writing small compositions, it's great for exploring new vocabularies with the help of the dictionary or assistance from the teacher. The subject is "birthday" - the teacher can inspire pupils before starting the writing activity with questions related to the theme.

Phrasal verbs 

This is a memory game. Cut out each square and have students turn them upside down on their desk. Students take turns picking up two cards and turning them over for everyone to see. If the student picks up a verb and noun form of a word (for example. inform-information) they keep the cards as a pair. The student who has the most pairs when all cards have been turned over is the winner.

Listening practice with Mystery of Love by Sufjan Stevens. Students are required to fill in the blanks or choose the right word while listening to the song. Teachers can have students look through the lyrics before listening, especially with beginners. After one listening, students can read the lyrics out loud.
