The worksheet encourages learners to discover idioms used in different nations across the world. For the task, learners need to think and choose one idiom in their culture before sharing it to the class by using guiding questions in the speaking card.

A picture to set off a discussion about what might/could (pretty much interchangeable) happen. Could be included in a topic on health and safety. May lead to discussion about accidents.

This worksheet is based on the video why do we need sleep? It is aimed at pre-intemediate and intermediate students. It includes a preparation task and 2 more while-watching tasks. It will also encourage students to talk about health and healhty habbits.

Vocabulary test (set2)

Teacher divides the students into a's and b's and gives each a photo accordingly. Students then work in pairs and describe the photo, students must not show the photo to their partners. The worksheet contains some useful words and a tip to help students describe the photo.

Students have to complete the song lyrics as they listen to the youtube video of hometown. Then, they will have to match words from the song to their meanings. The main aim of this activity is to expand their vocabulary and to train their hear to identify words in english and write them properly.

This is an extremely popular game with my students, whatever their age. 



It creates a lot of fun, as it requires focus and fast reactions.

I always use it with the topic of physical description (looks and clothes). Students practise also the present progressive tense when stating what clothes the selected people are wearing.



Other uses I can think of is with likes and dislikes or pastimes, supposing the students did a task to learn about their classmates' preferences before or know each other well. In that case, they can make also sentences such as "Yes, I love my neighbours, except those who like playing video games". 



I'm sure it can be adapted to practising other structures as well, why not the past simple (talking about last weekend activities or last holidays) or present perfect for life experiences.
