This worksheet is based on the video why do we need sleep? It is aimed at pre-intemediate and intermediate students. It includes a preparation task and 2 more while-watching tasks. It will also encourage students to talk about health and healhty habbits.

These tasks will be useful and helpful for teachers who teach reading and vocabulary about family and need intresenting tasks for their students; tasks can be used for elementary and secondary students.

Students have to complete the song lyrics as they listen to the youtube video of hometown. Then, they will have to match words from the song to their meanings. The main aim of this activity is to expand their vocabulary and to train their hear to identify words in english and write them properly.

HOLY NIGHT - BY HOMETOWN

Speaking worksheet focusing on the sentence structures "so that" and "to", impressing students' own ideas, creative thinking, fun, and picture description. It contains signs found in streets, shops, hotels, and original billboards used as advertisements. 



Hints: 

- the billboard with formula is an ad for KFC (gas coming out of the exhaust pipe is fried chicken nugget)

- the car hanging from the parking lot is either a towing service or insurance company ad

This is an extremely popular game with my students, whatever their age. 



It creates a lot of fun, as it requires focus and fast reactions.

I always use it with the topic of physical description (looks and clothes). Students practise also the present progressive tense when stating what clothes the selected people are wearing.



Other uses I can think of is with likes and dislikes or pastimes, supposing the students did a task to learn about their classmates' preferences before or know each other well. In that case, they can make also sentences such as "Yes, I love my neighbours, except those who like playing video games". 



I'm sure it can be adapted to practising other structures as well, why not the past simple (talking about last weekend activities or last holidays) or present perfect for life experiences.
