Explanations, examples, and an exercise to review time markers with intermediate students. A list of the most frequent adverbs of time, most of which are familiar but are commonly misused. The examples help to distinguish them. Takes about 20 minutes  for gapfill/correction, student examples can then be written/oral/homework/game format : flexible.

Time Words

Editable cards which are filled out by students or teachers and used in conversations. Print out or let the students fill out the cards and then act out the conversation. In big groups, the cards can also be prepared by the teacher. Students will pick up the cards with which must include task to find certain personn, for example: find someone who like cookies, the one who like cookies needs to find someone whose surname is Timson, and Timson needs to find you using a question that only they know. The firs trio to find eachother wins. 

Character Cards for writing and role play speaking exercises

Students have to complete the song lyrics as they listen to the youtube video of hometown. Then, they will have to match words from the song to their meanings. The main aim of this activity is to expand their vocabulary and to train their hear to identify words in english and write them properly.

This is a multiple choice questions movie quiz to practice listening and reading and different grammar topics. this fun activity is created to test your knowledge of the movie Deadpool, its characters and important events.

Note about the formatting: Whenever I create documents with floating objects the formatting changes on upload however when you download and open it this is easily corrected by moving the objects back on to the page. 



Phonics Rhyming Sentences Writing with vocabulary table

This is an extremely popular game with my students, whatever their age. 



It creates a lot of fun, as it requires focus and fast reactions.

I always use it with the topic of physical description (looks and clothes). Students practise also the present progressive tense when stating what clothes the selected people are wearing.



Other uses I can think of is with likes and dislikes or pastimes, supposing the students did a task to learn about their classmates' preferences before or know each other well. In that case, they can make also sentences such as "Yes, I love my neighbours, except those who like playing video games". 



I'm sure it can be adapted to practising other structures as well, why not the past simple (talking about last weekend activities or last holidays) or present perfect for life experiences.
