After students read this (generally as homework), I ask how they plan their meals. If they can go shopping at the last-minute on a Sunday (in Germany, a lot of shops are closed) and if it's better to have a weekly plan of meals to cook.

This can be used with a low/beginner group. They will enjoy using the computer to look up the weather and will see it in action. It also interdisciplinary, incorporating geography into the lesson. You can change up the cities if you want them to look up their home country. Make it more difficult by adding a column for the temperature, or having them write about the weather and compare it to the weather in their home country or in the city in which you teach.
