Past Continuous Tense with a RC.

Simple but challenging game to practice second conditional.

Put the students in groups of 3/4, print off and cut up one set of picture cards per group.

Students place the cards face down in a pile. When ready, the first student turns over a card and the students race to make a second conditional sentence using the pictures that they see. This can either be each student giving one answer, students coming up with an answer together, or as a competition where the first person to come up with a correct sentence gets one point.

Encourage them to use their imagination. They may ask you to judge if their sentences are correct.

Second Conditional Cards

Use the words in the box to complete the story about two friends who decide to travel to Barcelona, on holiday, in the summer. The words are a mixture of nouns and verbs relating to the subject of travel.
