A reading and writing exercise.  They read about how to make a diary entry. Then hey read three examples and answer the questions. Th object of course is to get them to write something about what they did. Practice for past simple tense. 

Easy reading: Keeping a Diary

A classic game that we all know and love.

Students simply have to describe the word on the card without saying any of the words at the bottom of the card. This can be done in different ways:

Team game. Students describe to their team or partner and get one point for each correct guess their partner makes within a set time limit.

Individual game. Students work in groups but take it in turns to describe. Whoever is first to guess correctly, gets one point. The winner is the student with the most points when all cards have been used.

Before handing out the worksheet, explain the grammar in detail. Handout the worksheet and explain the vocabulary. Next, have the students circle either do or don't and write their reason as to why in the blank. Finally, demonstrate the conversation with a partner and have students ask their classmates. Do you like apples? Yes, i do. Why do you like apples? Because they're delicious. Thank you.

Choose a legend or myth of your country/culture and make a shadow play. Write the story, make figures and play it. You will need the worksheet, a legend (as a teacher you can give the students a few legends in your own legends to choose from), cardboard to make the figures, a white sheet and a fierce light.

This is a reading comprehension passage about the history of caravans. Students read the passage and complete the true/false and cloze exercises to demonstrate their understanding of the passage.

What is a caravan?

There are two activities. The first one is a controlled practice and the second one is freer practice. Students have to complete the questions, interview a friend ad then teacher asks for feedback.
