Game that focuses on the use of Past Perfect. Creates a timeline for actions in Past Simple and contrasts it with a timeline of Past Perfect. Fun game for the classroom

Game - Why did you say that? Past Perfect

This activity is designed to open dialogue and to practice fleuncy. Ideally print the sheet and cut into strips, fold these strips and put them into a bag. In groups get students to pick out a question and ask the person next to them, then the student answering asks the next student and so on. For 1-1 lessons either select and ask the student the question or take turns asking and answering. 

I like to use this with older teenagers as a warmer or for days when they just aren't paying attention. This can be used with younger teenagers, but some questions will have to be removed.
