This worksheet includes the 10 most common idioms with their meanings. Students try to guess and match idioms and their meanings. Teacher can provide 10 sentences of his/her own and then ask students to do same. This worksheet is appropriate for B1, B1 and C1 level.

I usually just write the fifteen new words on the whiteboard and let them come up with their own ideas/suggestions for definitions and then I give them the article and we read it together.
