On task/ refocus strategy

Choose a topic ( like Summer vacation) and write on whiteboard. Divide students in groups and have them brainstorm to find words related to that subject and write on paper or whiteboards. Then one team reads their words. If any other team has the same word all teams must erase that word from their list. Teams keep words that are original only to them and no other team has written the same. THey get points for each original word and whoever has the most points is the winner.

This exerise is to practice how to identify and construct the third conditional sentences. Furthermore, it encourages the students to form the third conditional sentences from particular situations.
