Listening comprehension task on an NPR news report about the recent start of the school year in the state of Indiana, where a new law has been passed banning the use of cell phones in high school classrooms. Two listening comprehension questions: fill the gaps and general comprehension questions. Finally, there are some discussion questions for students to exchange opinions on this topic. You can access both the audiofile and the transcript of the report on the link provided in the worksheet.

Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well
