Cut out the following cards. Students work individually or in pairs, their task is to match the types of people with the definitions and pictures. Hope it\'s useful for your students!

Guess the person

one child chooses an animal and doesn't say what it is. The other children try to guess the animal by asking qustions (either "yes or no" answers for beginners or full sentences "it lives on a farm" for A+)

Cut each phrase into a strip.  Beginner students read the descriptive sentence while students try to guess the vocabulary word.  This can be played in teams with a bigger class or as a group.  The game is like Catch Phrase but students are provided with a descriptive phrase, instead of coming up with one on their own.

Classroom Word Guess

It's an oral exercise. It can be used to work in pairs or individual. They can write it down or even say it. The purpose of doing this exercise  is to practice the past simple and present simple. Also it could be a bit more competitive if you give the studients some minutes to resolve it, and the first couple to guess everything, wins.

A fun activity to help teach a few metaphors. Good for groups or one-on-one.

Guess the metaphor

Have you already learnt the names of the rooms, some furniture and grammar construction "there is - there are"? then this game will help your student to master the knowledge. Create two teams, cut out the pictures, give each team one house description and set the time.

Guess the object

It's a funny activity. Ss have to write 5 riddles using the words in the chart and then each fellow has to guess. My pupils love this kind of activity, I hope the same for yours!

Guess the animal

Children can see some pictures of public places. They can see halves of the pictures and try to guess the place/building and write the word underneath. Furrther conversation can be followed.

GUESS THE PLACE!

This activity is Halloween themed and uses the principles of the game Guess Who. There are six characters: Devil, Ghost, Witch, Vampire, Werewolf and Mummy. The learners have to choose one then ask questions based on the characteristics and narrow down what character their partner is. 



The questions should be YES or NO based- DO YOU HAVE...?

Halloween Guess Who

Each player starts the game with a card. All cards are set on the table upside down. Each player selects a card of their choice from the pile of cards containing the names of jobs. The object of the game is to be the first to determine which job you have without watching your card. 

Players alternate asking various yes or no questions to eliminate candidates, such as Does the person work in a restaurant ? Yes.

It's a short, but useful speaking activity for beginner students who are still struggling with forming simple sentences/questions.

Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
