There are several exercises in order to practice prefixes and suffixes: a wordsearch where the students have to find the opposite of the given word, linking words to the correct suffix to form nouns and a multiple choice.

Wordformation - Let's play with prefixes and suffixes

Students and given words. They have to identify the prefix or suffix and the root. Then they write the word in their first language. This is useful when studying word parts and their meanings.

Adjectives can be formed from nouns and verbs by adding these suffixes: -al, -ous, -ly, -able, -y,      -ed, -ing, -ful, -less, -ive, -ic. Use the word given in capitals at the end of the sentences to form a suitable adjective.
