Worksheet details
worksheet summary
Second version - Instructions are included and perfect for architects and civil engineers. Similar to my other worksheets but with this one the objective is to match each project to the right plan. Then you can get the students to debate the validity of those plans. There is a small glossary at the back regarding the "boundary layer" and "scouring" references but apart from that, it should all be pretty simple. "Heel" and "toe" references regarding the base of a dam should be easy enough to grasp for us non-engineers. This one is a tad better than the last as there are more structures and systems involved rather than just plain buildings. Quite suitable for non-engineers, too, it you want to practice debating skills and adjectives concerning buildings and structures.
