There is or there are. Students put some sentences in order in exercise 1. Then, in execise 2, they choose  the  right option: is  or are in every sentences and write the correct number according to the picture.



THERE IS A PARTY TODAY

This worksheet will help the students to identify the steps in party preparations. They will also practice the writing of each phrase about party preparations. This is intended to elementary and pre-intermediate students. Pictures will help the students to identify each step in preparation. For students who are not using English as their native tongue language it is a bit difficult to remember the vocabularies that are not used in their day to day activity. This will also help them to practice reading the given phrase about party preparation. As a follow up tasks whenever the students have already identified the task given each picture should be cut one by one then let the students pick one and identify each picture without the given words until all the students mastered each target phrase. Answer key is also provided in this worksheet.

This HO I created in order to practise speaking skills and as a warm up activity in the beginning of the lesson the main topic of which is 'Carnivals and Festivals'. This pictures you could use as a simple picture description activity, as a guessing activity or as a review of the previously learnt vocab (the HO with matching task i have already uploaded).
