A reading comprehension, with exercises - match-up word study, answer the questions and correct the errors. My neighbour keeps sending me jokes and I keep meaning to turn them into RCs, so I have done it with this one! 

The Dog and the Lion: a fable. 

Grammar and reading practice. Routines in the past simple. Students fill in the gaps with the verbs given in brackets. Then they match the passages to the pictures  in order to have the reading activity in the right order. Finally they answer some questions paying attention to the information given by the passages and the pictures alike. Key provided.

WHEN MY DAD WAS A TEENAGER

This song by Pink is great to discuss teen problems/worries with students. First they listen and complete the gaps. Then they match the lyrics with the pictures. Finally there is a short text on the meaning/message of the song with a gap-filling task. As a follow-up activity ask students to write about a (imaginary) problem they might have. STORYBOARD 1 Practice English with the pictures

Describe these three different people. Students can start describing them physically and their clothing but also they can speculate about their lives and likes and dislikes.

WRITING - DESCRIBE THESE THREE PEOPLE

In this activity, children have to use the appropriate links. They have to write the connectors in the gaps. Later, they have to read the short story and write and ending to practise writing.

The children have to look at the picture and answer the questions true or false.
