Entertainment Crossword Puzzle

Pictures of sports and instruments to fill in a crossword. I used this when teaching the phrase 'I can play'.  

My students who do this are able to understand some words and phrases but they are just starting to learn more complicated sentences such as 'I can ...', 'I like to ...'. Since these are often complicated I throw in this which is a bit more colourful and helps them to remember what certain nouns are. Everything is coloured with the theme's colours making it easier to change the aesthetic (yay docx). I provided the words for my students since they weren't familiar with all these sports or instruments but that is removable.

This is the fifth of my alphabet challenges. I must confess, I could not find anything beginning with x or z, so I added clip arts! If your students are more observant than me (quite likely!), they may find more than one item for these letters. There are lots of items for other letters, of course. A fun activity, enjoy! Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
