Cards for the main forms of modals. There are hints for usage and an NBA theme. Students are to make up their own sentences using the different meanings of each modal verb. Sentences can be made using the player pictures as a basis for sentences. Print on very heavy paper and cut out.

FLASHCARDS: FAMOUS PEOPLE 1

An assorted collection of famous people for the students to practice asking and responding to questions using short forms. You can do it as third person singular or first and second person singular questions and responses. Works a treat although you may have to take out certain cards in case the students don't know who the people are.

Ss compare two people at the pictures. using the given information. Then Ss make up sentences using Pr Perfect or Past Simple. It depends whether the celebrity is alive (Present perfect) or not (Past Simple). F.e., Michael Jackson released 10 albums, Madonna HAS released 14 albums.
