Use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts. Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>

Get here and you are ready to study in English at university

There are 24 personality adjectives + Sentences + Related pictures. First the teacher can show the pictures and the students do the brainstorm to guess the words. And then the teacher can reveal the words and ask the students to match the pictures and the words. The students can make alternative sentences and try to match the cards without help at the end.

PERSONALITY ADJECTIVES

I've found this idea here but modified it to a superhero game. Rules are simple. Kids work in pairs and create superhero teams. Cards lay facing the table. One by one kids pick 2 cards and compare superheroes on them. then they pick one of these two heroes to keep. When teams are formed they begin the battle. Kids have to pick the best hero in each category (strength, weight, size, height, age and speed) and lay them on arena (table) face down. Once all the categories are set, Kids reveal the cards and compare heroes in each category. The winner is the one who's won the higher number of category battles.

 My daughter has always liked Roger Hargreaves's Mr Men and little Miss series. She gave me the idea of using Hargreaves's brightly corored and humorous illustrations to create a pictionary of useful adjectives related to personality.

Use these Minions cards to discuss the characters and events in the movie Minions. Describe the characters- add your own information. On the word cards- explain the meaning of the terms and how they relate to the movie. The class might also retell the plot in sequential order.

Personality adjective word cards to arrange and sort in different ways. E.g. divide them into positive / negative then try and make pairs of synonyms / antonyms etc. 



I made this after downloading and printing some worksheets on here and wanted a way introduce the vocabulary first. My plan is to use the word cards as a warm-up / introduction and then do some of the worksheets others have shared.

Personality word cards 

This simple although useful worksheet was made to help students to know each other. It can be used on the first day of a basic 2 class. Students throw a die alternatively and talk about the topic on the square. Another possibility is to ask the students to ask questions about the topics done. It can also be used as a level test of a student with little previous knowledge.

It can also be played between a student and a teacher, being useful in private classes with only one student.

The teacher can also ask students to talk or write sentences about a third person, as a follow up so students will be able to practice the third person singular - simple present tense.
