A word search you give your students so they can become familiar with household objects. Before handing out the sheet ask students what have they got in their living room/kitchen/bathroom/bedroom. Ask them to draw on the board and write the vocab if they know it . Divide class in to appropriate groups and then give them each a word to find, once they have found it and circled the word, write into the table beneath the word search. They then swap words. Make it competitive , use different colours for each object and encourage students to use phrases like " I found lamp." - "Where is fan? I can't find it." Then go on to ask the students " Have you got a ..? How many have you got? Where is it? Who uses it? etc..

The present printable, downloadable handout was created for high school, elementary school, kindergarten, adults and students with special educational needs, learning difficulties, e.g. dyslexia at Beginner (pre-A1) and Elementary (A1) level. It is excellent for enhancing your students' Spelling skills. It features the theme of Home.
