This power point aims to teach students more about the life stories of famous or iconic people. The lesson starts with a guessing game where students are given several clues along with a distorted cartoon of the person to guess who it is. The second part of the lesson practices the past simple tense by reading a short bio of three iconic men in history. Students have to change the missing verbs to the past simple tense.

Although it is meant to be an English subject resource, it can be use quite effectively in across the curriculum topics which explore a similar topic.

I have used this powerpoint to encourage speaking, the use of new vocabulary and to spur both expository and imaginitve writing. I also use it as an introduction lesson to the theme 'Robots and the Future'.

The theme of this lesson is technology. Using the theme of technology we discuss how to give one's opinion and how to agree and disagree with other people's opinions. 

Technological influence on society.

The objective of this lesson is to briefly revise on paragraph writing and short and long vowels and introduce the 4 different types of sentences which can be used in paragraph writing. These is a game included at the end.

It is a speaking and reading practive activity that will enhance the students vocabulary. What is on the powerpoint is currently covering the names of the animals. However, it can still be used by enhancing the presentation with the usage of different vocabulary list.

The objective of these slides is to revise asking questions in the past simple. These are presentation slides. There are simple revision activities and conversational questions to encourage speaking. There are solutions included. This is best used with short summaries of the various historical figures being used as the text.
