PPT version of How to Speak Numbers. Two slides illustrating many different kinds of numbers and how to say them. Included are numbers of all size and dates. Students find pronouncing numbers correctly difficult, especially as they are written differently in English.

How to Pronounce Numbers and Dates Presentation

The aim of the slides is to elicitate the names of some famous stars and practice their dates of birth and/or death. Looking at the information students have to produce ordinal numbers, names of months and say the years.

Produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, using linking phrases (=words that connect ideas between sentences). Main grammar points to know: inversion, mixed conditionals, modals in the past, all passive forms, phrasal verbs (all patterns), wish/if only for regrets

Learners who can smoothly communicate in every walk of life, read long texts and write well

Learners taking the C2 Proficient exam should be able to:<ul><li>Understand almost everything read or heard with ease.</li><li>Summarize information from a variety of sources into a coherent presentation.</li><li>Express themselves using precise meaning in complex scenarios.</li><li>Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations</li></ul>
