Asking for permission 

This is just some simple pictures to elicit modal perfects from your class. Although I designed it to review them with a C1 student, you could use this for B2 as well. 



It contains a quick review and then some pictures. 

Could Have / Might Have / May Have - Past Modals Drill

We use could, may and might to express degrees of possibility. Many native speakers disagree on which one expresses more or less certainty.The speaker also shows degree of certainty or uncertainty through intonation and stress. If the speaker stresses the modal verb, they are expressing more uncertainty than if they stress the main verb.

This is a memory game to reinforce past tense 'did' questions [simple past tense questions]. Scenes featuring people appear on the screen. Leave the pictures on the screen for about five seconds, then change to the question slide. The question slide contains questions like "Did Tom swim yesterday?" Students answer "Yes, he did/ No, he didn't." They can answer as a group or individually. This is a super fun memory game!

A fun activity I have used to practice both Present Continuous and Modals of Deduction (might/must/can't etc.). There are some pictures hidden behind a black rectangle and students must guess the activity they're doing.

 The objective of this worksheet is to work on basic values related to classroom language. It focus on vocabulary and reading. Students are asked to cut the sentences and pictures, then, to put them in the right order and paste them on their notebooks (or folders). They can paint it if they want to! :)
