Traditional Food

Directions: Tell your students about the different approaches that the cultural topic may have... Tell them that "food can also have lots of history in it". Show them a video (you can find it on Youtube) about different kinds of food around the world - it can be different breakfast recipes / one-dollar-street food / traditional dishes... what ever you want! Then, with this power point presentation (feel free to change it as you rather) ask them to do a quick research answering the questions:
-Where are these dishes from?
-What are they made with?
-Could you give it any description? (e.g. oily, bitter, salty, juicy and so on)

Always remember that all languages only exist because there are people *to use* them, *TO SPEAK* them... So it`s more than important to teach culture, critical thinking and democracy.

This downloadable printable is intended for at Intermediate (B1) and Upper-intermediate (B2) level. It is great for revising Discourse markers in English, and is useful for honing your groups' Writing skills. It is focused on the topic and words of Food.
