Powerpoint details
powerpoint summary
Directions: Tell your students about the different approaches that the cultural topic may have... Tell them that "food can also have lots of history in it". Show them a video (you can find it on Youtube) about different kinds of food around the world - it can be different breakfast recipes / one-dollar-street food / traditional dishes... what ever you want! Then, with this power point presentation (feel free to change it as you rather) ask them to do a quick research answering the questions:
-Where are these dishes from?
-What are they made with?
-Could you give it any description? (e.g. oily, bitter, salty, juicy and so on)
Always remember that all languages only exist because there are people *to use* them, *TO SPEAK* them... So it`s more than important to teach culture, critical thinking and democracy.
