Certain vocabulary and concepts may have to be pre-taught. For example, if you're teaching in a country that doesn't celebrate Christmas. Also, some cultures that do celebrate Christmas may mot necessarily have the same traditions. Apologies if this seems obvious but stranger things have happened in my experience.
