A reading comprehension exercise. The children are on an Easter egg hunt and can't find the last egg. When they give up and go into the kitchen, they realise why.

The poem "Roses and Thorns" Richard Henry Stoddard was translated into Russian by Aleksey Pleshcheyev and then this translation was set for voice and piano by a great composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Now it is known as "Legend", No. 5 from "Sixteen Songs for Children".







First students revise regular and irregular verbs in the Past Simple (affirmative form). They also practise Plurals and Articles (Definite, Indefinite, Zero). The worksheet is perfect for revision of the topics.
