This worksheet deals with the present perfect simple form of the English verb. It consists of seven different exercises. Key is provided on page two. Hope you find it useful.

Present Perfect Simple (test)

A set of speaking cards with one Have you ever...? question on each of the cards. Students pick a question and answer it. Follow up questions using the Past Simple are also included.(If a student hasn't done something, they can tell if they would like to do/try it in the future.) I hope you'll enjoy it!

Mix of all present and past tenses

Students can practise one of the uses of the Present Perfect – talking about past experiences. First they complete the sentences “Have you ever…?” – pictures and verbs are supplied. PRESENT PERFECT with already/just/yet

It is tailored to practise Present Simple, Present Continuous, Present Perfect and Past Simple. It is useful to see the difference between Present Perfect and Past Simple. It also provides some revision of State verbs. This task is good to focus on the specifics of the given tenses.

This is a worksheet to practise and revise the present perfect. There are 50 sentences, the students have to check if the sentences are correct and to correct all the mistakes. 

I find this kind of exercises very useful for my students. The fact they don't know which sentences are correct, or how many mistakes there are, makes them put a lot of attention, double check every sentence and try harder to remember the rules. I hope you like it!
